Many thanks for your time in organising/processing this.

Some interesting results:

56% cover gas work but only 7% do LPG. Also surprised how many are OFTEC qualified (21%) when I think it's only around 10% of houses that have oil.

And while average wage is £18k the national average salary is somewhere around £24,500. Wonder how many will train to be a call centre or council employee now?

Thanks again for your time spent.

If 56% of plubers do gas work and only 52% of plumbers follow on to do acs quals, does this equate to 4% working illegally?

Thanks for all the hard work martin, good insight and interesting read

self employed earnings look a bit depressing, maybe people thought it was monthly :p

imho

175 + completed survey.

oldplumber, as it was totally anonomous participation, you are proberbly right. the question of; do you do gas work 4% overall are proberbly non g.s.r or training.

the real eye opener to me was the s/emp earning £18k p.a by a majority of 38%, this means, you are better of being employed!!!!!!!!

look out for the new one, i have a more powerfull survey machine and can go public also.

this was just the taster.

oh yeh, 8% earn over £38k pa, but i think their private trainers, lol.
