Hi

I have noticed dripping from the overflow pipe coming from the header tank (smaller tank in loft) not sure why but I cannot adjust the ball value thing or how to. I have removed some water from the tank but there is a copper pipe which should sit in the tank but not where it feeds to

Any ideas?

Most likely, the float valve needs its the washer and possibly cone that forms the seal replacing. Should also check the concentration of corrosion inhibitor in the heating system as it will have been diluted by the dripping.

I don't understand this part of your post:

Hi thanks for your reply. Think I will change the float valve as I assume they are adjustable so you can let less water in. Hard to explain the Cooper pipe. Can you post picture on this forum?
