My Mate Deliberately Puts His Combi Up To 2.5 BAR

Because he has a small leak, cant find it and he says it saves him topping up.
I said its dangerous but he's adamant and has been doing it for a year or so

Get some leak sealer in the system or get a engineer out to investigate.

Thermal imaging camera would help a lot to trace the leak. If it’s not visible then most of the times it’s in the ground.

So its ok to pump up his heating system up to 2.5 bar when its cold to avoid topping up so often as he does

Well not really as it will probably expand to 3 bar and blow off. He really should find out where the leaks coming from....ideal combi?

If he's doing that why not just leave the filing loop open permanently
I knew some people with a knackered ev and they just left it open 24/7 then one day hot water was flooding down the side of the building, top floor of a small block. They just closed the loop, waited for it to reseal and then turned it on again.
