Hiya - posting in this forum as I'm guessing this relates to my neighbour above's boiler, but I may be wrong so please say if so.

Basically the attached pix and vids show my issue. I've got a small copper-looking pipe protruding from the wall above my rear tenement bedroom. It's dripping almost constantly and it looks to me like the liquid must have some waste material in it (hopefully not toilet waste!) as it's left rusty marks on my sandstone wall & cill.

This is part of a communal garden, so I've checked my neighbours walls and while they have similar pipes above them in the stone, none seem to be dripping like this.

You can see my own boiler exhaust (to the right of window) is also capable of dripping water occasionally. But I think that's just condensation from steam; it doesn't make a rusty mark; and it's much less regular.

Can anyone please advise me what this pipe is? And is this normal or should I be talking to the landlord above about it? (I've had a few issues with him botching previous repairs, so I won't be surprised if this is somehow down to neglect / doing things on the cheap!)

Thanks in advance for any help! 😊

Could be the expansion relief or an overflow best to get onto them about fixing the issue
