Discuss Help needed! leaking isolation valve on Worcester Boiler in the DIY Plumbing Forum area at PlumbersForums.net

So, got a lot of water leaking from my boiler. (Old Worcester 28CDI)

Looking underneath it appears to be from the isolation valve (at the point where you close or open it)

I've switched off my water supply, and turned off the heating for now as I'm about to go to bed.

Question is, is this something I can fix myself (turning the screw part)?

The part highlighted in red feels very loose.

Try turning it on/off a few times but chances are slim.
Just put a bucket under for a week?

Looks like I'll have to go for the bucket option. Tried bluetack and the water still gets through (was a bit too awkward of an area to wrap the tape around).

Will just grab a couple of electric heaters and wait it out until next week
