Hi All,
i moved into a house a couple of years ago and have decided to board the loft.
I've found any empty water tank that must have been used before an immersion tank was installed but it's still connected to a pipe going into the wall.
Is it ok to remove the tank? If so, what should I do...

Hi All,
I'm trying to take the hot tap apart to replace the washer. I've turned off the water but cannot get the tap apart.
Hopefully you can see in the photo below. Online advice says to take the cap off and unscrew the top. There is a groove in the top of the tap but i can't work out if the...
Hi, hope you can help me. We have just placed an order for a new gas fire, hearth and back panel and the fire shop has said that they can remove the isolation valve currently situated about a foot away from the existing hearth (you remove the cap and screw the internal part in to isolate). They...

Hello,
I'm trying to change a few taps around the house, and once I bought the basin wrench, the bath tap was a doddle, and feeling proud, I decided to move onto the sink...Here I've hit a snag - I haven't a clue how to get to the tails of the tap as when I look under the sink, there's a brass...
trying to remove the aerator on the mixer tap in my bath. No obvious means to remove it, it's a male connector and is flush with the tap. No obvious notch to insert a screwdriver in. Have tried some needle nose pliers on it but any more force will break the spokes. Some bad pictures to show you...

Hi,
After attempting to remove a tightly fitted washing machine hose I am now getting a small leak. The photo attached show where the leak is appearing. I am quite the plumbing novice and I'm wondering if it is possible for me to fix this or does this require a plumber?
Thanks,
Oli

Hi all,
Bit of an odd one, we moved in to a place which has a WB combi boiler in the kitchen (fitted around 2010), but up in the loft there's an old Thorn M floor standing boiler. Can't quite make out exactly which model from the pics.
Spoke to a gas safe plumber who said he'd never seen...
Hi,
I was looking some advice - attempting to remove a tap handle but cannot locate any screw to do so. The Hot and Cold indicators on the tap seem fixed therefore haven't a clue as to what to do to get this off.
I have attached a picture, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

These bath fillers ((Part number A4021AA) come as a pair with one turning on clockwise and the other turning on anti-clockwise. I can see why you would want this with the taps mounted on the bath as the handles could be pointing sideways for off and towards the bath for on.
I have mounted mine...
Hi All,
first post here although have been a lurker for a while. I am hoping one of the pro's can advise me on the best practise and also most workable way to do this.

Has anyone tried taking apart one of these yet?
I have accidental sucked water into the machine 3 times now, each time I then have to take it to a repair centre. They have it for around 10 mins, say they have cleaned out the pump and charge me £35.
it can't be that hard to do but wouldn't...
