Can anyone please advise the O/D of the old imperial 3/4'' and 1/2'' copper pipes in metric, as my callipers are metric... I have to re route some pipes and need to be prepared with the right fittings (for a change) before I start..
Thank you
Are 22mm olives ok on 3/4 imperial copper only I fitted a 22mm ballofix on old bath supplies earlier and I didn't feel them grip as well as normal and although they weren't weeping at all I feel a bit paranoid about now?
got a leaky tap (seems to be the hot water that's the worst). just wondering if there is anyway of finding out if its metric or imperial without taking it apart?
got a feeling they are imperial as its quite a dated bath setup (pink enamel coated tub) which makes me think 1970s....
cant find...
I am sorry as this has undoubtedly been asked before but can someone explain to me the quickest and most efficient means of gas rating an appliance when filling in the benchmark book at the end of an installation. I want to nail every aspect of this industry and do things properly. Sorry again...
As above who are the brands of fittings that can get you from this plastic which is approx 1-3/8" od and roughly 1" id back to metric , have not touched this sort of pipe for a while cheers Mark .

Hi folks,
I am going to replace kitchen sink waste pipe with metric. This however feeds into an imperial soil stack. Last time I did this I found the smaller metric pipe didn’t seal properly. What’s the correct procedure?
Thanks in advance.

I need to replace a 3/4"-1/2" stopcock. A 22mm stopcock will not fit onto the existing old plastic pipe. I cannot find anyone who stocks this old imperial size. Any idea where I can get one or how can I overcome this problem.
hi all,
