Hi all,
After completing my plumbing NVQ I am now completing my gas portfolio after just spending a week placement with British Gas. Part of the boiler service is to complete a Dynamic Assessment Checklist and so first perform a safe electrical isolation check. Now this involves 2 tasks: 1st...
I am 6 months off completing my City & Guilds Level 3 course but there is an electrical module in it.
Nobody seems to know what this allows us to do Eg wire a shower - Install a fuse spur
As is there any electrical bodys who recognise this?

I am currently doing my nvq level 3 and there is a bit of a query on the electrical module and what this qualify s you to do, does anyone know if there's an electrical body that recognises this module as a qualification to enable us plumbers to shower installs and minor works?

Anyone point me in the right direction as to how these are wired up. Two two ports, wiring centre, two channel programmer, room stat, boiler, fcu. Is this same as a standard s plan but the cylinder stat is different with the resetable over heat switch And an extra two port as a safety cut out.
I have underfloor heating and for some reason my boiler will only come on for a second think it could be electrical prob cause electric box in hot that shows the four zones the lights on zone one or four keep clicking on and off so power to boiler keeps flicking on and off.. Was just wondering...

Hey I've heard a straight swap electric shower is un-notable to the electric regs. Does this just require the shower to be of the same power i.e, 8.5 kw.
Can anyone recommend an electrical short course to do.
I am good on wiring heating systems etc but looking to expand to do more electrics etc as trying to get one when you need one is nearly impossible!
I know there is a couple of lads on here that have done courses and wondered if it is...

I can't think of a gas reg that states this, and no electricians can seem to quote me a regulation stating this...
