Hi all just joined 😃

Last month I had a Worcester Bosch 24ri fitted on my own place it's all registered now and commissioned by a friend of mine (gas Safe)

Was all ok until I removed the towel rail in upstairs bathroom which is on the flow and return. This was off for a few weeks while fitting out the bathroom. The boiler didn't seem to like this and kettled a couple of times. As I thought the rail was working almost as a bypass on run on, even though I do have an ABV as well. Anyway new rail is on now but I'm still hearing strange knocks every now and then on the boiler, like someone tapping on the pipes every 10 seconds. I've bled everything and cleaned the tf1 filter . Is this likely to just be air ?? Or something else ?

Another thing was the fan on this thing seems to vibrate a lot and is quite noisy , are they like that ? Not great for what the bloody thing cost me , my old Suprima was quieter lol

Not the quietest boiler but a reliable workhorse normally it is no doubt trapped air can be a pig to get out is the system open vent? If so try venting the pump you can normally hear air traveling around the system at the pump position . Kop

Yeah vented system air always accumulated in the old towel rail being the highest spot. I fitted an auto vent near the cylinder when I changed that but it doesn't catch everything. The only part I haven't tried bleeding is the pump. I might try leaving it all off longer before I go round bleeding the rads. Cheers
