    Yes because once you have the base fitted at the time of the toilet install the flapper is just clip on I’m guessing yours attaches with glue / sticky pads ?

    You normally want to boss in from the top on horizontal soil pipework else you could get a blockage / problems very rare

    Sounds like there the wrong size ones worst case if you can’t get any smaller ones you can remove the upstand with a grinder

    Correct aslong as you can tape the other hose to the old one / use some elec rods to fish it back through etc
